I have an 08 SI sedan, in addition to my CR, and it serves its purpose well. Good gas mileage, 4 doors, sporty "enough" for errands, and daily driving, etc.

It is not as fun as my s2k, but it is still a fun car to drive, and quicker then the S2k(in a straight line ) Over all I am happy with it.

What is your budget?
yeah thats what i was thinking CRs are 13 sec cars. The civic is a low 15s to high 14s sec car?

more like low 14s cars. CR and the base model have the same 1/4 times. same engine and more or less the same weight.

Pretty much.

The k20 responds well to mods. Full bolt-on cars easily make 210-230whp, and the fa5 is not much heavier(2945lbs IIRC)

Don't get me wrong, it is not a lot quicker, but it is quicker for sure. It also feels like it has a broader powerband.

Not as fun to drive though.

Sounds like you need 2 more cars to me. A DD for you and a DD for your wife. This way you can keep the miles off the S.

It's a matter of personal preference. Why are you asking us? I'd insist on being the primary driver of the S so I'm not sure my opinion is even relevant. As it is, I'm going to have to fight the better half about not getting stuck with the utility vehicle when we replace our cars.
