Should I buy new or used?
Ok, I have had a civic for 5 years, and am ready to have a real sports car. I love the s2000 and the yellow paint on them is just awesome. I'm thinking about getting one soon...BUT, I absolutely love the Veilside body kit. So I plan on putting that on right away. I may also do wheels right away too.
Question is, should I buy new at 32K, or get a 2001 or so for around 25K and used that extra 7K to do the body kit? I thinki I can sell my civic for around 5 or 6, and I can put that money down, plus another 4,000 for about 10,000 total down on the car. But I really want the body kit and wheels soon. Basically I always thought s2000's were sweet, but when I saw this pic I just couldn't believe how good it looked.
Please give any advice you can. I really appreciate it, as this will be a major purchase. For some background I am 23 and single and still at home, and make over 50 a year. So do you think this would be a wise purchase? Think its ok to go ahead with the kit asap? THANKS!

I don't think you'll find much love on this board for the Veilside kit.
Those rims however are the well liked SSR GT1.
It's hard to not let a car become an emotional purchase but i'll give you some un-requested financial advice.
23, living at home and making 50k? Go buy a house/condo and keep the Civic. You'll appreciate the car more now but years from now when your s2000 is a rusting scrap pile, you'll appreciate the 4.5% house loan that you paid off at only 38. I bought my first house at 24 and it has really helped set me up financially for the rest of my life.
If you just have to have one and you are dead set on the veilside, I'd buy used.
