The person is asking for $23k for a 2003 silver on full red, which is a great price.

but here's the kicker from CarFax:

No. Not with a Salvage Title. Salvage titles cut the resale price by 50%

just out of curiosity, where do you get that type of information? I'm taking a look at the car this evening, and if that holds true and the owner is willing to negotiate, then I might purchase.

even if it has a clean title, I wouldn't consider 2003 s2k for $23k, a "great" price. Good price, kinda. I was in the market just two months ago, and i found plenty of 2003 s2k's with about 10k miles around $24k ~ $25k.

In short, you would be crazy to buy a salvage title s2k for $23k. Absolutely crazy. IMHO.

my 2 cents.

They tend to be more expensive in the PNW than in some other parts of the US.

I wouldn't buy a salvaged s2k unless it was going for say um $500. Too risky.

I wouldn't do it, would you really take the word of a stranger about why it was salvage? For all you know it could of been in a flood so watch yourself and look around some more....
