Default should i fix or sell as is.

Hi,

I just got into a higway accident where I hit a highway concrete divider at 70 mph. Both airbags deployed.

Can't decide what to do. Should I fix or sell as is (i don't have time to part out).

Any ideas how much it would be to fix or sell as is? I will be removing the volk rims if I don't fix.

It has 60K miles and was in excellent condition before the accident. The engine looks to be ok. I didn't insure for collision stupidly that's why i'm in this quandry.

Here are some pics.

Update 1/2/11:I took pictures without hood and looked at drivers side wheel well more closely. It looks like the frame was only damaged from the shock towers going forward. There are some dents in the wheel well frame but I think its only cosmetic. Also, looks like both lights are salvageable. Therefore I'm estimating fixing will cost < $5K (2 fenders, front bumper, front frame, and wheel knuckle). Seems like fixing is an option especially if I take my time and buy all used parts.

thanks

joe

Id fix it and then sell. Its going to take you a very long time to part out the car and make all the money back. If you dont need the money right now than part it out but its a very long task

1. Need more information.
2. Need more information.
3. Need more information.

Without knowing mileage of the car and the condition of the major parts like the engine (does it run) and having pictures of those components, how would we be able to help?

You could sell it for $3000-8000.
You could fix it for $4000-12000.

It depends on the details (which aren't provided).

If the engine isn't running, the car's not going to be worth very much at all.

Even if you have to prybar the hood open, you need to see what's under the hood.

Hope you're doing okay, it can be a pretty big shocker to realize that some mistakes cost a lot.
