Default Should I get the S2000?

Hey guys or girls. I wanted to ask a question to anyone who can answer it honestly. The S2000 is my favorite car. I knew it the minute I test drove it. However, there were empty roads for me to drive my heart out. Reality is that I drive in traffic five days a week. Now I don't know if I want a manual tranny. If anyone drives stick in traffic everyday, can they give me their opinion on whether I should get the S2000 or not?

All my vehicles have been stick shift since my second car, a 64 chevelle, that started out with 3 ont the tree, way back in 1969. I don't seem to have any problems with traffic, after a short while driving a stick will become second nature to you.

I think it depends on how much you are really in love with the S. If you have unconditional love, then you will love the S for its many many virtues and overlook its one or two miniscule flaws. I drive my in stop-and-go traffic daily, for what seems like hours on end sometime, and it doesn't bother me at all .... I like shifting though

I usually drive in traffic every day; I can be flexible with my work schedule to pretty much miss the bumper-to-bumper slog. It's about 75 miles around the Bay Area, and truth to tell, it's no fun being stuck in traffic with an S.

Although I have unconditional love with my little torque-less wonder, it's not made for bumper-to-bumper traffic. The only great thing about being stuck is the nice comments and the "thumbs up" about the car from people as you slip by them at 2 mph.

It's only on the open road that our S is really able to breathe. Like anything else, if you're able to balance out your daily rides with open road cruising, then by all means get the S. If you're only going to be driving it in bumper-to-bumper traffic, might be better off with a more economical automobile. You and your S may be more happier.

I honestly don't think it will be much of a problem. The really short gearing combined with a short 1st gear really helps to make things easy when stuck in rush hour traffic.

It handles traffic just fine but you'll be doing this

The S will urge you to let her loose, being in traffic is being jammed in a subway with pervs

If you commute heavily in traffic day in and day out, get the S and a POS beater. The beater for Monday to Friday and the S for evenings and weekends.
