Without knowing your financial situation and reasons for selling, this is a difficult question for anyone to answer. However, if you are holding out for better economic times, than I'd suggest selling now. However, depending on the weather by you, you may want to wait until optimal top down weather. People have a tendency to value our sort of cars more when the weather is looking good.

Good luck.

Well, good news. The S2000 market is going up. I was checking the dealer auction reports and a 01 S2000 with 16k miles sold for $27,900 last week. Of course we don't know color, extras, etc. There were a couple others too around $26K-27K. If a dealer is paying that much, what can you buy the car for when the dealer sells it. I think now that the left over 01's are dryed up and the 02's are closer to MSRP, the market is increasing. So, go for it! I was thinking about sending my car to the auction and buying an 02.

I think that the best time to sell is now. It is the start of nice weather and the MY2003 has not been introduced yet.

Why are you selling?

I am brand new to the forum and just bought my S(Black/Black). I bought an ultra clean 2000 with 9,800 miles for $32,000! I live in San Diego, CA so maybe S2000's are more money here or I just got ripped. I don't care however because I love the damn car so much I would have pay'd $35,000 for it. I also bought a brand new 2002 Sebring Silver/black for $40,000 but took it back cause I didn't want to pay that much for one. I think the particular dealership I bought my car from is probably just overpriced. At any rate, I love my S and look forward to getting to know all of you great folks that share my same passion.

A MY2000 for $32K! Well, since you don't care, it does sound like you got ripped (unless there are some major mods), even in CA.

But if you do care, I'll tell ya you got a great deal!

Not so fast! The market here seems to be softening. I just read that a member here from Northern CA recently paid $500 under MSRP for a new MY2002.
