Default Should I spend $480 on a clear bra?

It's pretty much a complete kit. It includes the installation as well... I saw wildly varying prices on here but people seemed to forget to mention what all they had done.

I was going to have the front bumper, headlights, hood, fenders, side mirrors, and the door guard installed... is that a decent price?

Also... how do you guys like the clear bra? I drive a lot on a highspeed freeway here in rocky/dusty Arizona with lots of semi-trucks so I think it'll be worth it... if it completely prevents rock chips I may have to spend the money on it.

What are other owners opinions? thanks.

So I had that same question 3 months ago, and I'm really glad I did it. It's protected me from so many impacts, espeically up here with the salt on the road.

You will be able to see the line of where it is, but on the whole it doesn't really matter. The front bumper was really tough for them to put on though, so keep that in mind.

But for an overall opinion, I say it's more than worth it. Especially in the long run....

I'd personally keep the $480 and just repaint the bumper in 3-4 years.

I wouldn't. I'm also on the "I'd rather repaint it" side of the fence.

I get a lot of rocks etc in CA. I have a clear bra and love it. When you repaint the bumper, it doesn't wear like factory paint and chips even easier next time. If you go with it make sure your installer is experienced. Installation is everything as far as how it looks.

Yes you should. After 2 years of owning the car the front end looked showroom new.

I think it is well worth the money. A mint, stock front end is far better (with better resale) than a repainted front end. I had InvincaShield clear bra installed a few months after I got my car, and never regretted it. Last year, a big rock was kicked up by a truck and struck my front end near my headlight. It dented the metal and scraped the bra, but didn't scratch the paint. Paintless dent repair will be able to take this right out.

Get references on the installer. I had mine done by a guy locally that installs clear bras for a living, and he screwed up in several places. The next guy that came to him asking if he'd do an S2000, the installer said "no".

Also, you may want to do a little reading about covering your headlights. These Xenon lights get pretty hot and some people have ended up with "crazed" lenses. You might want to do a search on the subject.

If your front end isn't already all chipped up, then i would put it on. I wouldn't bother if your front end has already got chips.

Front is still mint... car has 9800 miles on it

I think I'll do it, 2 people have recommended this installer to me. $480 seemed a bit steep though, and that's even with a discount. I talked to the lady and she said the newer S2000s are one of the hardest factory cars she has even done lol.

The door handle idea is a good one... I'd actually want to do it under the door handle. My girlfriend scraped the crap out of my BMW when she was mad at me with one of her rings (it was unintentional). She grabbed the handle and flung the door open and jumped in... later I found out her rings messed up the area under the door handle and I was
