Should I supercharge..!?
I've never gone FI in the past and it isn't my gut instinct to do so.
The dilemma I have right now is that I have a brand new S, and enough cash in the bank to either buy some nice lightweight rims and either Amuse or Mugen Header & Exhaust... Or... Pick up the phone and call Comptech.
As you can see, this makes for a difficult choice and I've been
over it.
Now I'm not a hard core drag racer, in fact I've only gone to the drag strip twice but I never pass up a stop light encounter if the conditions are right (read safe).
My plan for this car is mostly to use it as a daily driver and occasional AutoXer.
This makes me tend to shy away from FI but on the other hand... 100hp is hard to say no to when you could get it done tomorrow without sweating it financially.
For the last week I've been telling myself to just get the rims and I/H/E (oh and some springs too) and that I can always add on the supercharger later if I feel the need.
The problem is that I'm not used to having this kind of financial freedom yet (just got promoted a few months ago) and can't accept that I may have the means to do it again this spring if I do pass up FI right now. Or, what if I f*ck up at my new position and get canned then I may regret not doing it when I had the chance...
Anyway, I'm just ranting at this point so I'll STFU. I realize that I'm lucky to be in this hard spot and am probably making some a little jealous. That's not my intention. I just need help deciding what to do.
Anyone with FI autoX? How's that work out for you guy's? Is the Comptech setup very livable on a daily basis or do you find yourself staying out of vtec most of the time?
Any thought, feedback or suggestions would be appreciated... I'm jumping out of my skull right now.

Get the supercharger. The intake, header, and exhaust will do almost nothing for you except make the car louder and empty your wallet. Rims will add bling and make the car slower....gotta go with the gusto, IMHO.
Turn away from the computer and call Comtech now...I'm considering the same idea..I/H/E, rims/tires and springs can be added slowly at your pace...these won't really help you when your at the red light and your sorroundings are safe.
Make sure you drive a supercharged S2K before you jump to any conclusions. Also have you considered the after-costs of getting an SC done? Tuning, EMS, guages, after cooler, new pulley, etc. The SC is a deep dark pit of expenses just like the car itself is once you start to mod.
Personally I would go with the wheels, H/E, and coilovers. Then slowly ease into the SC once the car is older.

I'm with importsport, drive one first and plan to spend enough money to make the install correct.
The difference between a comptech S2000 and a regular S2000 is not as night and day as you might think. Odds are you will be a bit dissapointed if you are to believe some of the tall tales in the kills section.

SC isn't a "dark pit of expenses." You don't have to go EMS, installation and tuning are straightforward, you don't need guages and you don't need to opt out for a different pulley. That's be like saying an aftermarket pipe is expensive when you factor in the cost of a new body kit.
There's really one way to get noticable, reliable power out of the S2000 and the SC is it. Write the check, you won't regret it.

on a roadcourse, an s/c car will demolish an otherwise stock car.

Enjoy the car for a while and put off the big mods until the warranty is out or closer to it.
