Default Shout out to Jiffy Lube

I have read some of the scare stories about oil changes at Jiffy Lube but I would like to give a shout out to the Jiffy Lube on Montgomery & Pennsylvania here in Abq (particularly Jerry), who did a fine job of changing my oil. There are some good ones out there! Thanks guys

Don't you have the 30k warranty? If you do, then why'd you change your oil at 17,500 miles? A bit early, eh?

How did this post turn into "20 questions" about why I changed my oil at 17,500, oil filter type and, where did I mention that this was my first oil change? This car will go 5000 miles without another oil change - why does everyone worry so much? I bought my own oil - Royal Purple. This post was to give Jiffy Lube some credit as obviously the bum ones give the good ones a bad name.

That'd be a stretch. We'd probably be the only people who'd buy it.

There's no doubt that Jiffy Lube is CAPABLE of performing a proper oil change. However, IMO, going to Jiffy Lube is like playing Russian Roulette with your S's engine's life. And you shouldn't have to give a company props for doing their job correctly. The fact that you felt compelled to just reinforces how often they screw up.
