Default Shovel dent coming out

I just gave up my car for 5 days to have the 3 inch shovel gash repaired that I wacked into the right front fender while shoveling snow during our last blizzard.

I've taken it to Collision Craft Car Star on East Monument Street in Baltimore. For this small job, they will remove the front bumper, take out the dent, and repaint the entire front fender, feathering into the surrounding body parts. These folks do flawless work, which is why it takes 5 days. My car was the only one there for repairs that was not a BMW or Porsche. But I think the cost is pretty reasonable: $300.

Rick

If I am correct your car is Silverstone. I have heard that the silvers, both Sebring and Silverstone are especially hard to match. I am curious to know how yours comes out. Let us know.

By the way, if they do good quality work the price is reasonable.

I had my rear bumper repainted (Silverstone) a couple of years back, some metal straightened behind it, gouges removed, etc. for $150 flat. No one has been able to tell it was ever touched.

Good luck with your repair Rick. I hope your five day repair doesn't turn into my 12 week nightmare!

Have you ever considered paintless dent removal? If your paint is in reasonable shape, meaning that the paint is not chipped, then removing the 3 inch gash should be a piece of cake, and should not cost more than $100. I had several deep shopping cart dents taken out of my car and nobody can tell that the dents were ever there.

You have no idea how tired of winter those of us in the Northeast are.

The thing is, I love living here (the Northeast, metro New York) except for the weather. If I could figure out how to get your weather here, the Northeast would be the perfect place to live.
