Side Skirts with 16's.. Will it work?
Well I have been really interested in getting a front lip for my car and some side skirts to go along with the look. However I am not ready to spend money on some rims and am still running the stock 16's. Does anyone think ill have some scraping issues going over speed bumps or any inclination with side skirts (most likely the garage defend)... thanks in advance for the help.
I don't think you'll run into anymore problems if you had 16 or 18 inch wheels. From my understanding, your 16" with the fat tire has about the same overall diameter as your 18" wheel with lo-pro tires. SOOO, you'll be sitting at the same height. It is just a matter of how long your front lip and how low your kit is.
Take things slowly at an angle, and you should be ok.
On a side note: Not that you asked, but a kit is not cheap (painting and all that included). The price of wheels would be comparable. I would go wheels first if you are already going to do that. that is just me though, there are plenty of S's with body kits here on stock 16's and they still look smooth

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I know the price of a body kit and wheels could be similar after painting and all however I think i would rather put a kit on my car and just powder coat my stocks before spending the money on wheels. But I do see your point about the Tire sizes and rims sizes being about the same height 16 or 18's.. Thanks for the help....
