iam assuming we all know how to drive a manual transmission, at least i hope so if you own a s2000. well i learned on my dad's 1994 geo metro, not even a 9000 rpm redlined four cylinder can compare to the rush felt by a throttle body fuel injected, 55 hp, 6 valve in line 3 displacing an astounding 1.0 liters of displacement! unfortunately, the little metro was lost in an accident when it was rear ended by a hyundai last year. my dad was ok, but the loss of a metro and a hyundai was a tragic day for the automotive world.

Learned on a 1985 VW Cabriolet. It was my mom's car back when I was in high school.

My lesson for driving stick was on a six speed Nardi Edition (nothing special package) Miata. The kicker here was it was a rental car while in Tokyo. So I had to learn on the right hand side but it was surprisingly comfortable to be on the "wrong" side. It took about an hour of stopping/starting/shifting to get it down. Good thing too since a few hours into watching a drifting event in an industrial park the cops started after us to break it up and I was able to make a quick get-away. With that over we headed to the Highway for some high speed racing. Did alright until we were switching drivers. I pulled over, slowed down and Oops forgot the clutch. Felt like a tard with the car stuttering to a stop.

Mine was on a 94 MR2. I really wanted this dark green MR2 bad but they only had it in manual. My dad made a deal with the car dealer, that if he would teach me to drive a manual car, then he would buy the car. The dealer pulled out a 94 white Mr2 and thus my manual driving experience started.

S2000, I've had it for 5 months. It's not a good car to learn on because of the lack of low-end torque and stiff clutch but now when I drive anything else its easy. Very lucky indeed.
