Almost everyone makes theirs themselves, but I fear some lift them off other members posts which I think would be rude to say the least, and not the best way to start making friends. If you see one you like maybe you can PM the member and ask them if you can use it, but the best way is really to do it yourself, it isn't that difficult to do a simple one.

Most people get them gifted to them, meeting the criteria described by the badge (color badges etc) or by being part of a major thread.

Follow the links on mine to say the electronics forum or the color forums and there should be a sticky thread inside to get your badge here or some other snazzy title.

As far as adding the badges to your signature, you will have to follow the directions given in those threads (usually they post the code you need to add to your signature) or someone should be nice enough to PM with the needed code if asked. only a few badges are given out by invitation only (WILD is one example). for you to get these you will have to demonstrate to the mod of that forum that you deserve the badge.

The WILD badge is again, a good example. You can post your request for a WILD badge if you have a stock car but you will not get the nod to get the badge. It will have to fit the bill so to say to be worthy (for lack of a batter term) of that badge. The car must represent WILD characteristics (heavy modification). These invite type badges are neat but there are plenty of badges you can get for "free". If you live in say Miami, FL you should be able to get a South Florida Badge no problem.

Other badges like DragonBall Run or Dragon's Tail you should petition for only if you have made the run yourself.

Hope this helps a little bit
