When heading home from work, I have seen a silver S2000 several times in the vicinity of Swedesford Road, Rt. 29 and Rt. 202 - probably heading home from work, too. Anybody here?

 

Yes, that was me. I had gone about 3 months since the last time I saw an S2000 by chance, then I see yours twice in one week. I was starting to get lonely. I drive home from work on Tue and Thu north on 202 all the way from West Chester to Philly.

I had hoped you were a member here, but never got a chance to yell it at you during our brief passes of each other in that ridiculous 202 traffic. Not a fun place to drive a stick. When you see me again, feel free to call me by my real name... Dean.

 

Dean - Thanks for the reply. Well, there are obviously several of us in the area. Although I occasionally use 202 to drive home (to West Chester), I usually take Swedesford Road, 'cause its a much better drive. The silver I have been seeing has been on Swedesford Road near the intersections with 202 and 29, and I think I may have seen him get onto 202 South. That means that you are probably seeing someone else, and so am I. I have a red/black. (And Dallas is my real name. ) What color is the one you are talking about?

Hope that most of your Stook time is more fun than that commute up 202 North. So, who else could Dean or I be seeing?

 

I drive a silverred with about 20k miles on it. I only noted rt 202 in your original post and figured that you MUST have been the guy I have been seeing. Whoever it is drives a silverblack 2001 model, bone stock.

I haven't seen a red model since the New Hope meet months ago.

 

Well, mine was one of the reds you saw at the New Hope meet, so we met at that time, and I remember your name. So, how ya been?

I'm suprised that you haven't seen a red since last fall. By chance, I have twice bumped into (figuratively) the same guy with another red in the parking lot of a supermarket near my home.

BTW, how can you tell that its a 2001 model that you are seeing?

 

My inherent psychic abilities. Actually the car just SEEMED too new to me. The guy driving seemed to be feeling his way along. The completely stock car with the wind deflector between the seatbacks seemed so 2001 to me. He seemed so eager when he told me how much fun he was having before I lost him in traffic.

It's just a guess.

 

I think the Silver S2K Dallas noted works somewhere in my building (off of Swedesford). There are two companies in our building so I don't know who it is. On nice days I see the silver S2K parked out in "no-where land"...I'm tempted to leave a note.

I live in Exton and I've only seen 2 S2K's. The one at work, and then just last week one drove through the Exton Mall. (Red. Dallas?) I turned my head and waived but it passed!

I ordered my Yellow a couple months back-- it arrives on Friday.

 

I'm glad to hear there are more of you around. I rarely see another stook here around the Main Line...surprising. Any others on the board? I do regularly see another Silver on my short commmute from Narberth in West River Drive to Philly.

 

Seems like there may be enough of us in the area west of Philly to try a little get together sometime soon.

edrender - That could well have been me you saw in the Exton Mall. However, I have met another red s2k owner in the West Chester area. In any event, congratulations on your new machine! I'm sure that you will love it as the rest of us do.
