This is great! Anyone else here from the area west of Philly?

What are your favorite local drives?

pas2k, since you're from around the Main Line, have you ever driven Goshen Road west from the Bryn Mawr area? Beautiful drive - not so much for speed, but for great top down scenery.

Dallas- Yes...I know that road, and there are lots of other ones further out in Chester County....around Chadds Ford, Brandywine Battlefield. We need a Phila. area Stook club!

Hey I'm just east of you guys so count me in on any get togethers.

How about a cruise down RT 9 in Deleware?

PS I'm sure Zippy and Ray will join as well.

Pas2k, you are right, there are a number of nice drives west, southwest, and northwest out of West Chester.

Great to hear from you, Charlie. It would be good to see you again, and of course Zippy and Ray and everyone else would be more than welcome, too. I don't remember driving Rt. 9. I'll have to check it out.

Any opinions on how long of a drive do you think we should plan? Any particular weekend good or specifically not good for you guys? I like the way you set up the New Hope meet, Charlie - gathering for lunch first. If we can decide when and exactly where, we can post it on the events board.

Dallas, RT 9 is a great road with lots of twisties and not much traffic. It runs along the eastern shore of Deleware with great scenery all the way south.(before the new highway was built this was the only way to Rehobeth Beach).

There is a place to eat some crabs about 30 miles down. I will speak to Ray this weekend and find out more info on the restaurant, should be fun.

Dallas the menu is diverse I'm sure you can get your meat and potato.

I'm going to see Ray sunday (his grand daughter's 1st b'day) who is more familiar with RT 9 than I.

I am thinking we can have two meeting places.

In your area (west of rt 9 )then you guys can cruise over to meet everyone else at.............................
Mikes Famous Harley Davidson Dealership just off the Del Memorial Bridge in adjacent to RT 9, for drivers from Jersey and south.

Then head on down RT 9 for a nice cruise and some lunch wrapping up at about 3 pm.

Now for the date I would like to have it before Memorial Day Weekend for 2 reasons (A) I'm going to France that weekend for a couple of weeks and (B) Once the holiday weekend comes and summer is officialy here the road becomes more traveled. So lets try and plan something for the 1 of 2 coming weekends.

If you like I will take charge and set everything up and post the info in the Meets and Events section.

Charlie- You guys are too much ...ready for a drive at the drop of a hat (or checkered flag). I'll watch for the post and see if I can make it. Chester County still remains a great site for a future cruise! BTW, I am the guy who arrived just before you at Rick's office B4 the MD. meet back in April.
