looks good - I wonder how'd they look for Canadian cars with DRL's (which use the high beams at a lower power)

These bulbs I've ordered are suppose to have the color of WHITE without that blue tinting added to the glass. It's the same bulb/gas, minus the bulb coating.

They are the europe version of the SilverStars

OSRAM - Silverstar +50% ECE

And they were 12 a pop!

OSRAM - SilverStar for 12 a piece

i dunno about the OSRAM - Silverstar +50% ECE. but when mine is lit, its more of a white with a very slight yellow tint. imo it looks clean, rather than being white with blue that looks fake and cheap.

i don't see how they can pull off a clear bulb to have a nice white light. my friend has these piaa ones that were close to $100 and they lit up white really good. but it has a VERY slight blue/gray coat on the bulb.

All you had to do was ask:

I bought some of those for the low beams on my '95 GS-R. After driving our S2k and TSX with HIDs, driving the GS-R in the dark felt like I was driving by candlelight.

They're not too bad, a definite improvement in that car. Not like HIDs but what do you expect for $50, I guess. They're not the cheesy super rice blue bulbs that seem to be installed in every other Honda and redneck pickup truck I see. They're stealthy, just brighter.

I want to try the Raybrigs, but hate to spend 60 bux when I rarely ever use the high beams.

Ok my review since i just put them in.

Overall I am pleased, they are whiter and appear to put out more light than the stocks. I took it out on a night twisty drive to see how much of a difference it was. To me it makes a real safety difference since the brighter and whiter light seems to light up the road better. I bought them for improved light output and they appear to do the job quite well.

Now I'm not 100% pleased with them because after having HIDs for low beams I don't feel that they are wide enough beams to light up the side of the road fully. This is a problem on some twistys since I tend to look where I want to go not just ahead and it doesn't seem that the sides are bright enough. I think I'd probably only be happy with lights that turn with steering input(tucker anyone?) or HID hi-beams

Overall for $40 I'm very pleased with the outcome. If you never use your hi-beams these aren't for you but if you do they are a nice upgrade.

Where is a good place to get these bulbs? I am thinking about getting them for my wife's Toyota Highlander. After driving my S, I can't see anything with her low beams. I believed it's the 9006 size for both the low beams and the fog lights. Do they sell them in local stores or only online? Thanks guys.
