Default silverstone mettalic diffs ? 00-01 ?

Just thought I'd throw this one out to owners of Silverstone Metallic s2000's

Is there a difference in the 2001 Silverstone Metallic and the 2000 Silverstone Metallic ? I saw one at a dealer and it appears slightly lighter in colour?

Also, can you get a 2001 model in all black interior ?

thanks

I have MY 01 Silverstone Metallic with a black interior. From what I remember of MY 00 Silverstone Metallic that I saw at the Detroit Auto, looked the same to me. Fell in love at first sight And had to have one.

Are you sure you didn't see a MY 02, it is noticeably lighter. And you can get it with a black interior too. All 2002s have a glass rear window.

Mine (01) also all black interior. Think the exterior color is the same as 00.

They have the same paint code so I would think they are the same.

00 and 01 have the same silver color. While the 02 has a lighter silver.

Yup, they are the same color, but you might want to consider the changes from the paint runs... The colors on cars are never 100% consistent. So when a manufacturer paints their cars, they may paint a certain # from one paint batch... and the batches are never exactly the same... If you were to get a sample of a dozen S2000s from MY2000 and MY2001, no doubt will there be some very subtle variances between the paint jobs to the trained (or anal) eye... But probably not enough change that is obvious to anyone.
