Here is a copy of a simplified maintenance shcedule the service manager gave me. It's much easier to read than the thing in the owner's manual.

Be warned, each file (both pages) are 500k each, they are 1024x768 resolution.

Many thanks Harvey!
They printed fine and they're stored on my hard drive too.

Interesting that I saw nothing about the timing chain around the 100,000 mile mark. Do they expect the chain to last forever?

Nope. Just replace it when it breaks.

Just pray your not out in boonie land at that point!

Though it was nice to see them say dont touch the valves till over 100,000 miles!

Chains don't normally break. They stretch a little, but it is usually only dealt with a overhaul time. If it is like other chains it is fine for 200K miles or so.

The last car that I had with a timing chain was a '74 Celica GT. The timing chain tensioners had to be replaced at around 75,000 miles and I think the chain was replaced at the same time.

Fortunately, bad timing chain tensioners don't disable the car, it just sounds like nuts and bolts in a washing machine.

BTW, theglobe.com is reporting that it can't find any member by the name "harveyjr", so the pages are not displaying.

Hmmm... It worked this morning and for Barry, now it doesn't even work for me. Maybe they're doing site maintenance themselves.
