I have the opportunity to get a new 04' S for the same payment, it's basically a swap.. I just want to know if any 2.0L owners that made the upgrade have any regrets.. sincerely. I AM NOT ASKING WHICH IS BETTER, please keep all of that... Please just offer your likes and dis-likes.. If you know of good thread post a link...

Thanks guys... The new car is Berlina on solid black with front and rear spoilers...

No regrets here. I had an '01 that I traded for my Evo, then I missed the S2K so much I wanted another. Test drove the '04 (with much skepticism) and I was sold. I love the torquier motor and the new wheels are sweet. I miss my old shift knob though. I'll buy the Ti one and be happy. Plus I like the glass rear window!

Yep. Rather wish I went with a new, left-over '03. But I'm getting used to the '04 and don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

I was going to get a 03 back in June 03 but chickened out the last minute. When I drove the 04 I noticed the differences and I bought it on the spot.

I can't decide so I'll probably be still... I have already upgraded to 04" wheels/tires and my car now handles like superglue on steroids.... I encourage everybody with an AP1 to do this mod, you will not believe how much more fun drivng this car can be. I also installed a V2 intake so my low end torque is somewhat improved. Most of all I am worried about not being able to "hang out" in VTEC. Can anybody tell me if this is still easy to do?

Unfortunately, VTEC still only comes on at 6000rpm. So with the reduced redline, you have lest opportunity to operate in that higher power realm. Also, since the grearing from 1st through 4th is the same (only the secondary reduction gear is changed) it's just like shifting at 8000rpm with your F20C. Ie, you drop below 6000rpm when you go from 1st to 2nd.

Ouch!!!! That may have sealed the deal for me... I realize this is not a huge deal because the 2.2L makes much more power, but damn... What i need is an extended test drive.

Thanks Elistan..

Yeah, take the car out for a good while. Take some corners at a fairly agressive rate - the handling balance takes a little getting used to as well.

You guys are turning this into 04 vs pre 04 again.
the guy is asking whether you have any regrets so give him the answer not the whole excuse.

To answer your question....

No! Not a thing! No regrets what so ever!
