WOW! I didn't know there were so many self-righteous old ladies out there driving S2000's...Sorry if I gave you guys the impression that I drive as if I'm heading "to a salvage yard near you" or driving around looking for people to run over. I just love the car AND driving it. It's my daily driver and, well, when you drive it every day, there just tends to be plenty of opportunities to exploit it, within reason, of course. I thought this was a forum for enthusiasts who enjoy the car...including driving it. Man! If I wanted this kind of response I would have talked to my parents. Thanks for welcoming me so warmly to the forum. Y'all (and I'm really only referring to the negative responses...sorry to the rest of you) need to stop being so judgemental and presumptuous!
welcome....how old are you?

I had a 95 GSR and getting good with the S took a full year. Everything in the S happens way faster. Quicker to vtec; way quicker to reach red-line once you hit vtec, which means that you need faster reactions to shift before you bounce off the rev limiter. Quicker steering, even in the

Welcome and congrats. Former 93 GS-R owner here... Don't be too offended by the comments you see here... Members who have been around here for a while have seen far too many newbies say 'hello', talk about racing on the street with little S2000 experience... and, ultimately, come back with a sad story about wrecking the car.

Everyone means well and we all just hate to see people or S2000s hurt during the initiation phase. ;-)

Good luck, stay safe and learn your limits before you test them.

"Driving" it is a whole lot different from what you said. Let me quote you again:
And I find myself looking for 350Z's, Mustangs, and Boxsters to embarrass.
That's called street racing! Did you really think you could impress us with your "My dick is bigger than your dick" comment like this? And the fact that you are "sliding sideways" in your car, tells us that you have yet to find that truly elusive thing called a "CLUE"! Yep, we sure need more people like you on the streets - out looking for races and NOT having a clue. A pretty dangerous combination and I'm talking about dangerous to all those around you.
You seem to enterpret "enthusiast" as one who goes out and challenges all sorts of other cars on the street to race you.
Cut you some slack? Sure, but not when you come on acting like some kind of doofus. Maybe you should talk to your parents some more. They might just know something.

need to stop being so judgemental and presumptuous!
I see dumbasses in car wrecks all the time. For the sake of "enthusiasm", they hurt/kill themselves, but the big thing is they hurt/kill others in the process and damage other property. I can be as judgemental and presumptuous as I please. GROW UP!

Somebody needs to come down from their high horse. (xviper) You put WAY WAY too much into what I posted. You must be having a bad day. Here's a suggestion from me...Calm down! I didn't realize this forum was going to be so much fun!
