slotted rotors question
replaced the rotors with drilled and slotted ones from spugen...
man, what an improvement (in looks, at least!!)
the rust is gone, and the rotors match the wheel color!!!
question: it feels like i am "feeling the slots" in the brake pedal.
i feel a slight "bump, bump, bump" in the pedal-
i assume that this is normal and that it will go away?

could be the ABS pulsing since the rotors are slippery??
i am surprised that no one else has experienced this. have not heard much from the brakes, just feel the strange pedal pulsing...

If you didn't replace the pads at the same time you put the new rotors on (you didn't mention whether you did or not) then you might have high/low spots on the pad that don't correspond to reciprocal wear on the new rotor. If that were the case, then you'd likely feel that until something wears down to compensate.
If you did change the pads (and IMHO you should have) then I don't have an answer.

good point ludedude- i shoulda mentioned that.
did not change pads due to a miscommunication (i wanted to, but they werent ordered)- old pads are almost new anyway. (i dont use the brakes much, since i love to downshift; and yes i am aware that pads are cheaper than trannies!!).
so it sounds like you are suggesting that it might just take some time to get back the normal pedal feel?

If the vibration is due to pad wear that doesn't match the new rotors, then yes, eventually the pads will develop new wear patterns matching the rotors and the high spots should wear down.

Try to picture this: You have a high spot (or spots) on the pads due to the particular wear characteristics of your old rotor/pad combination. This high spot is now banging against the slots in the new rotor as it turns. You feel this feedback in the pedal as it's actually pushing back when it hits. A few days ought to do it, if not then throw some new pads on there.
