Default Slower when hot?

Is it just me? I've only owned mine for 3 months now but it seems to have
quicker throttle response when the outside temp is below 75 f.
When the car is thoroughly warmed up and the outside temp is 95f.and up, and humid(It gets hot here in central North Carolina).
I notice slower throttle response.
Imagination?

Of course.

Cooler air is more dense which results in increased power.

For every 10 degree drop in temp you gain 1-2% in horsepower. So your S2000 feels like it has maybe 10 more hp when it's 70 instead of 90 outside.

The smaller the engine the more noticeable the gains. My 600CC sport bike feels like a rocket when it's 50 degrees out.

the super thick/humid southern air hinders performance as well.

Higher altitude also reduces HP.

That is why many S2000 owners get a vented hood, or a CAI All for the sake of drawing in colder air
