Default Small block V8 in an S2000?

This guy was telling me that he was at the Nationals in Pueblo earlier this year. There was a guy there that had a 383 in his S2000. He saw the guy run consistent 8.6's. The owner of the S2000 was from the East coast somewhere. I don't ever remember seeing a post about it here, and I was wondering if anyone else has/had heard about it?

Uh, no. I'm serious. I found it hard to believe, but the guy was dead serious. He said the guy cut out the cross beam in the engine bay to fit the V8. He had around $12000 into all of the mods and fabrications(including the engine). I don't know why this guy would tell a BS story to a total stranger, but I suppose weirder things have happened.

there's a notorious guy here named alexf20c who claims to have a LS6 in his.

He refuses to show any pictures, however. I have never seen a *known good* source confirm it, either.

The guy that was telling me the "story" said the guy had put every bolt on he could find for the S2000. He was "only" running in the 10's, so he decided to put in a V8. I still find it hard to believe, but he told the story with such conviction. Since no one has spoke up, I suppose I have to believe that this guy was pulling my leg.

That was basically my wife's response. I felt the same way, but if the guy wanted to do that to his car, that's up to him. Certainly not my first choice.
