It's been suggested before, but for a simple, cheap, bolt-on mod that certainly adds to my CONTROL (not more power) is a Voodo countersunk shift knob that lowers the shifter height. This for me has made shifts more easy and certain, and I've even lowered it a bit more by cutting off a bit of the shifter shaft and the lower flange on the Voodo. Muz also makes such a countersunk knob. Bottom line, it helps me get into the right gear which is important, especially on downshifts to avoid over-revving. So I shift -- and downshift -- with more speed and confidence, and this makes the car more fun to drive.

Thanks,
Richard
