I went to the Alabama coast last weekend. I usually take a backroad off I-10 to 59 to the beach. The road is lightly travelled and I can blow it out. I came back to 59 and turned to the beach. There was a very agressively painted Prelude waiting to turn right off 59 onto 10. When he saw me turn in front he followed after me. We hit the next light with a car in front of me and him right behind me. When the traffic moved I cut to the right lane and hit it. He came right with me. I moved to the left lane and hit it again and he nailed it. Left me behind. I followed him to the next turnaround where he pulled over. I asked him what he had and he sheepishly opened his trunk to reveal a big green bottle of nitrous. He was very proud of his car. Young guy about 20 or so. Said he had every spare dime in his car. Performance exhaust and other mods. Apparently there is a group of them that have heavily modded their Hondas and they have a deserted spot where they run each other. I was invited but had to decline reluctantly. Nice to see that there are still young guys more interested in go fast than go loud.

What color was it, what year model was it (I'm actually looking to find what generation of Lude it was), did you get the owner's name?

Hi, I am one of those guys I live in San Diego though. I have a prelude which will put down about 500HP to the wheels with 26psi. (My motor is getting build by AEBS) Before I started to build my engine, I had 288HP to the wheels. I have beaten NSX and the new Corvette on the freeway (It was 3am, no cars on the road besides racers) and M3's were no match at all. I should get my car back within next two months. I can't wait

I agree....to me a street car is a little less impressive if you have to rebuild the motor every 10K

Would that be 26psi as in air in the tires on 26psi of boost in the engine?

I'm pretty sure he means 26 psi of boost in the engine.

I used to have a 5th gen Lude. I also pondered the question of turbocharging it. There is a guy in Austin that is running 20 something psi also. He blew his engine a few times, then had to rebuilt it to handle that much boost. I think Jackson Racing has a supercharger at 6 psi, but I don't know if it's release to the market yet.

Boost. But I plan to push around 15psi in the streets.
