smoking cigarettes in rain
Ok well I'm not telling you to quit so here you go
Yeah it smells god awful and your car will smell like a smoking car on a turkish train line but, roll up the windows all the way is one option.
I wonder if your top has the rain rails positioned correctly to roll the rain away? You might ask a top/upolstery place to look at it. They may even be able to add some rain rails to the top in addition to or in place of the existing rails.
Hardtop is another option but, not if your rain turns to sun and you want to put the top down.
Good luck
FYI-I was a smoker for 17 years but, quit 3 years ago. I have found that most cars are not designed for smoking in the rain.

Take a small towel, roll down the window a bit and place the towel between the A pillar and the window. Then just roll the window up a little to keep the towel in place. So there's plenty of air getting in and out at the top of the window but without water getting in at the bottom. Sure it looks retarded, but it works.
That's what I used to do, but now I just wait until I get out of the car if it's raining.

some of you guys are being quite rude about this. if you have negative things to say about smokers as people then keep your prejudice to yourself and have fun with that.
he asked for some suggestions on what would make it easier, not for people to all jump in and say the same shit. you aren't better than him/us because you choose not to smoke. many of us who do smoke would like to quit but have not yet. it takes time and self-discipline.
towel idea is a good one though it would look silly.
seems to be though that the best option is to wait untill you get out of the car man. if you are on the freeway you can get away with it depending how hard it's raining.

I am a smoker, and on a good day, I'll smoke in the car.
however, if its raining bad enough, I'll just wait for my destination before I smoke. but thats just me.
if you REALLY need your nicotine fix, like others have said, keep a towel to wipe the water off the door panel.
I'm just trying to figure out what sorta answer you expected? I mean, there's no magical way to not get water in the car with the window down.
and as for getting upset about the nonsmokers bitching about quiting, just learn to deal with it. maybe us smokers will die of lung cancer, but the nonsmokers will die of colon cancer, or skin cancer, or some other shit. or maybe we'll just die in auto accidents. who knows....
