Default Smoking Inside The S2000?

hey everyone,

i was just wondering if smoking inside the S2000 messes anything up like the leather seats or anything. I just made up my mind the other day and decided im going to try really hard to quit smoking. so far, its been 4 days and going strong! but today i sat in my car and noticed how horrible the car smelled! i guess after u quit for a few days, you notice the smoke more. so back to the question, is it bad to smoke in the S?

It's bad to smoke anywhere. As long as you're careful and aware of your "cherry", you should be fine. I find it odd that your car stinks, as my friend smokes and his does not. Do you allow the car to "air out" after you smoke?

The question is...smoke *what* in the S?

In all seriousness, my friends sometimes smoke cigarettes in mine, and it doesn't do any damage. Leather seats don't retain very much smell IMO. Any smell that stays seems to do so in the soft top, and that goes away after a little bit.

So, no, smoking doesn't damage anything, but it does leave a trace smell for a while, and that is a matter of personal preference. I'm an ex-smoker and don't mind at all. It eventually disappears.

And yep, you do become more keen to the cigarette smell after you quit. That's due to a combination of an improved sense of smell and becoming less accustomed to smoke.

Unfortunately you will NEVER be able to get all of the smoke out of you're car. I sell them and I see it all the time, beautiful cars ruined

I smoke in mine all the time, however, I also allow the car to air out by convertible down or windows down. My car never smells of smoke. It's not just me, my wife does not smoke and always comments that my car never smells of smoke.

in the spring and summer months I have cigars ALLLL the time.. I don't care that my car "reeks" of cigar smell .. a few mins of blasting around with the top down airs mine out quite fine..

The smell never really leaves the car. A car smoked in at Auction is an automatic 15% deduction in resale. Most trips in the S are short. I would avoid smoking in the car.
