Default Snapped Axle at the drag strip

So I snapped an axle at the dragstrip.

I got some new prototype axles from a friend.

heres the pic.

They look nice, any specs/cost? Are they lighter than the OEM units?

Heat treated 4340, 6 bearing inner (vs 3 stock) one is 2lbs lighter than stock and the other is 3lbs lighter than stock, thicker boots, no idea on cost, they were prototypes.

Sounds like a pretty sweet set up. Keep us pending how everything goes, and if there are any signs of accelerated wear on other parts of the car due to running these.
