Snow plower accident
Upon inspecting the car/area, it was pretty evident that the snow plowing truck made contact with my back bumper which damaged the rear bumper, rear light, and fenders.
I expected a note, but received none so called the cops for the report and got the name of the plowing company. I got their voicemail so left them a message..
Here are some pictures:

Notice how there is snow shoved on the left muffler, which clearly indicates that there were force on the left side to result in such damage.
The police report will take 7 days until I obtain my copy (which I believe is too long), but in the mean time, are there things I should particularly pay attention to?
I'm a bit irritated I guess, but I know these things happen everyday so I'm trying to take this in the most calmed-manner possible, but I do not want to miss important steps that will make me pay for this damage out of my own pocket.
Also, judging from the pictures, how much do you think will cover the damage? The rear bumper, rear light, and rear fenders needs to be replaced..(I think).
Thanks for reading, but for those that need cliffnotes:
1. Car was parked
2. Snow plower hit it
3. Left no note
4. Called cops for report (takes seven days however)
5. Called plower company that was responsbile
6. Got voice mail
7. What should I do in the meantime besides waiting for the Plower company to return my call?
Thanks,
Jeff

Wow, that sucks. Well, you're off to a good start by getting the police report and taking pictures of the scene. I would get the damaged estimated by a good body shop in the meantime. Other than that, there's nothing you can do until you talk to the plow company. If they offer to fix it, then great. If they give you problems, then contact an attorney.
By the looks of it, you would think they were trying to block you in with the snow.

I used to live in NYC and it was pretty common for the snowplows to hit/swipe a few cars a year on my street.
I had my drivers side mirror totalled on my new bmw (at the time) back in '02. Given that these accidents were pretty common and the blame would tend to be that you didn't park close enough to the curb, so I was told, I just took the car in to get fixed at my expense. Too much of a PITA to deal with it any other way IMO.
But with the damage you got and it not being in NYC I'd do my best to hold the plower co. responsible! I'd continue to call 'till you get ahold of someone in charge. The police most likely won't do a damn thing unfortunately.

Spoke with the Supervisor, says he's pretty sure it was one of his plower guys and asked me to email him some dialogue with pictures.
I'm sure they will claim responsibility and foot the repair bill, but I won't be able to move my car until everything is resolved 100%.
Anyway, how much are the rear bumpers for the S2000? The rear lights? And the rear fenders? Would the parts alone exceed $1500?
Lastly, thanks for the replies.
