Has anybody put snow tires on their S2k? I would like to be able to make it home from work on snowy days, but as it is, it's imposible.

What tires do you have? How much improvement does it make in the snow? How much worse is it on dry pavement?

Thanks for the help.

Snow is fun!

There a number of threads on this subject.

A bunch of us who don't live in places like San Diego enjoy their cars in the snow.

I have Bridgestone LM 22s (H rated Blizzaks) on all four corners (F 205/55 16, R 225/50 16)on a set of factory wheels.

The car is absolutely great on cold dry roads and is surprisingly sure footed on snow. It also climbs well on icy pavement.

Goody, goody, tomorrow looks like another opportunity to play in the snow.

I have Michelin Alpins, which the Tire Rack told me were better than the Blizzaks for my typical winter driving conditions.

They're great on dry roads, which is all I've experienced so far. We had our first snow today, but I wasn't driving the S2000. In fact, I've avoided driving it in any wet-road conditions, not out of fear but because I don't want to get the car dirty.

Another vote for Michelin Pilot Alpins, here. I used a set on my Prelude in pre-Stook days. Unlike the neat freaks (Barry & Rick) I've been forced to drive mine in some pretty lousy conditions during the past few days. In the really slippery stuff, the rear end breaks loose easily, but if I keep the revs down below 3k, everything works fine.

Right now my car is covered in salt, and I won't wash it until temperatures climb above freezing here (April? May?)

I'm having LM-22's put on today. I'll let you know what I think.

I put the Michelin XGT-Z4's on mine. They are an outstanding all season tire. I plan to run them year round.
I'm not the kind of person that pushes my car to the extreme limits of the car. This tire will not perform as well as the OEM, but very very close, and probably last 30,000 miles. AND I don't have to worry about driving it in cold weather. I live at the base of the Sierras, so anything could happen.
