Default Soft top down for about 6 months...

Winter is coming, to all the owners with your hard top up. Would it be bad for your soft top to stall it down for some 6 + months under the day time heat? Should I do anything before I put it down and put the hard one up?

Thanks,

Tim

i dont have a hard top, but my soft top has been down most of the 4 years of its life... it lives under the boot and gets looked at only when i detail the car. still looks new.
so my guess is it shouldnt be a problem as long as you have detailed it properly

Only thing I've found is that when I leave it down for a prolonged period of time. It doesn't line up properly when I use it. So you have to force it on the first time and let it sit a couple of days. I think the fabric tightens and needs to stretch.

Wanabe,

What detail you'd do to your soft top that you were talking about? Please advise.

Thanks,

Tim

.....it doesn't seem to mesh up the first time even if it's only been a couple weeks. I'm wondering if I'm going to have a 1 foot gap wen I put up the soft top again in March
