Default Soft top squeaking under hard top?

Ive been searching on here for the past week and i havent found much relating to the issue

Ive had the HT fitted for a few weeks, I applied shin-etsu on all the seals prior to fitting, now Im experiencing an annoying constant squeak when driving down any road that isnt prefectly smooth.

I get abit of a creak from the HT when pulling off driveways which I have accepted as normal, but this seems like a squeak from the soft top itself, the soft top is hard against the two metal tabs, the ends of the seals just touch the rear window although this isnt a hard foul. When I fitted the HT it felt like it was squashing the soft top down when I turned the two rear fixings. If I grab the soft top in the middle and try and move it up and down and it squeaks/creaks.

Does the soft tops position look normal under the HT? Is there anything I can do when fitting the HT to prevent this?

Apologies if I have overlooked an existing thread on the subject,

Cheers all

Looks like your softtop isn't down all the way. When mine is retracted, it doesn't even come close to the HT tabs that prevent contact with the window. I'd pull the HT, put the softtop up, and make sure the bars retract properly when you put it back down.

Soft top defo isn't rectracted all the way down, as above remove hardtop and if it wont go all the way, you may need to replace the elastic straps. you can buy these from modifry, pretty cheap
