I'm the original owner of an 04. The car is my daily driver, but it is typically garaged at night. I'm in NY so the top has seen all 4 seasons for 13 years. Sprung my first leak this year and am in the process of trying to decide on which top to get as a replacment. Hard to argue against an OEM that has lasted 13 years, but the consensus on the forums seems to be to go with the Robbins cloth.

See my previous post. Robbins top is the way to go, if just for the improvements they've made to it and the price.

It appears that our cars have been on a very similar usage trajectory. That's really encouraging!

my original was replaced at 40k mile mark due to well known hole issue. now have Robbins and no complaints for at least 5 years.

Yes, I will be going with the Robbins. Thanks to you and all the others on the forums who have pointed me in that direction.

Regardless the top you go with, make sure you get an installer who knows how to install the top correctly.

That's great Emil. Mine is about 15 years old and also looks new. Now that I'm a hardtop guy I expect to never have to replace it on my S2000 as it can easily last the life of the car.

That's a serious problem. Given how few S2Ks there are on the road, finding an experienced installer will be difficult.
