Soft top missing
The hardtop would have less hassle PITA factor...
okay, i have the challenge carbon fiber hard top that came with the car, but i want to have the soft top as well. all the wiring should still be there and I'm thinking I'm going to have to buy the motors and the frame with the top on it. Id put it I'm my self, so has anyone done this before or can someone give me a link to a thread? some pics of what everyone else's car looks like back there would be appreciated!
If you search you can find doy's for removing the entire soft top, frame, cloth, etc, as one piece. Use this in reverse to know how to mount it back in.
If you find a used frame, but cloth is no good, you can buy a brand new cloth for like $500. Then you'd have a new top, not used.
You'll find a zillion photos of top online. Photos of top frame in diys for replacing top cloth, replacing top elastics, tricks how people prevent top tears. Etc. The background of photos of other things will have all the detail you need.

if going used....you need to be careful that the top frame is not bent, happened to me, vandalism of top and bent frame to get into car with no battery in a body shop yard...they installed a new top and it would not close properly, it closed, but not well, turns out it was the top frame that was bent as well....fyi.
