Default Soft top mounting question - please help

Hello everybody, I’ve got a question regarding the fitment of a soft top. The previous owner of my car had a hardtop on the car, so it’s just the skeleton that’s still on the car. He gave me a second-hand top, but the problem is that I don’t know what’s missing in order to mount the top (drainage, screws, brackets, elastics etc.). Is there a full parts list of everything needed? I have someone who’s parting out an S2000 who I can get the parts from, but I need to know which ones I need in the first place. Alternatively, since the second-hand top is a bit broken, I’m also debating buying a new one, a Sierra Top in particular. On that note, is Canvas worth the $200 price increase over the vinyl option? Or should I spend $200 more on top to get a Robbins top? Haven’t heard anything bad about sierra tops though. Anyways, if I would buy a new top, would this come with mounting hardware? Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Of you have access to a salvage car why not take the whole top and frame in one piece? If you remove the plastics it's only a couple of bolts and the whole assemble pulls out.

Chapter 20, pages 20-36 to 20-54 in the Service Manual covers the soft top for all years -- early big window and later glass rear windows. Lots of diagrams showing a zillion small parts. Save the whole manual to your PC and print out those pages.

I have never seen the Sierra Top, but Convertibles Only has worked well on my AP1.

http://www.convertiblesonly.com/ is a good choice, Despite my disappointments compared to the OEM, the aftermarket top has lasted 18 years and still looks like new.
