Same problem here (if you can call it a problem) the right side doesn't "slip" into place but if I do the left one first, it pulls the right on into place.

Haven't really given it a second thought til now.

same here, but it only happened after I picked the car up from the dealer for the Rattly Top TSB. driver's side top latch too far right of catch, slightly.

Ah, like the perforated arm rest on the center console, you know the one... How it lovingly pops up in the back for you to snap it into place again... only to pop up again a few minutes later.

COME ON, YOU GUYS! 1 mm ???? You're making a flap out of 1 mm? What are you going to do when you notice that one time when you go to close the top, it comes to within a few millimeters of the windshield and the next time, it only comes to within a 1/2 and inch? YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A CONIPTION! Don't go nuts over the little stuff. This is a stiff riding, narrow focussed automobile. It will NOT be "perfect".
I can tell you will be the same guys who will be later posting about how you get a little notchy feeling when you shift into 2nd or 3rd. You'll be wondering if it's normal for the tires to be wearing out so quick. And you'll worry about why your car makes all those odd popping noises under the car after you shut it off. Oh and you will find out very soon that the central tunnel gets REALLY HOT! IT'S OK. NOTHING'S GOING TO BLOW UP! And one day, you'll look at your gas gauge when the tank is FULL only to discover that there is one bar that does NOT light up. Again, it's OK. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR GAS GUAGE!
If you obsess over the little stuff, you will never fully appreciate what this car is all about. Go out and just drive the thing. Have fun with it. You don't have to line your floor mats with paper and rags and towels. Let it get dirty and worn. That's what the mats are there for. When you wear them out, buy new ones from Muz or Rick's. Then when you sell the car buy new OEM ones.

(WOW! 1 mm! sheesh!)

Well, mine's more than 1mm off, but it does work, and as xviper sagely notes, it will not be perfect. It's hard to get out of "nitpicky" mode with a new toy, though. But the sheer joy of zipping around last night with the top down and a good friend in the passenger seat vastly overshadows the "small stuff".

If it becomes a real problem (like won't close), it'll be time to deal, but until then, it's time to enjoy the car. (only 450 miles to go before rev-land!)
