gortex is peel and stick. i used it on the interior and it works great. I also assist the top when opening.

Hi CHuck!, can you tell me/us how the gore-tex patches are holding up? looks like the ease of use speaks for itself, and isn't 1/2 bad looking ...for a pact that is....how's the adheasive holding up? thanks!

I'd be tempted to use some 2" wide Gorilla tape on the inside as a preventative on a top in good condition. Any thoughts???

I learnt one thing that some or maybe most rips are caused by the top not properly opened. The cross bar ends up seating on top of the folded top instead of below completely hidden. The end result is that the latches keep rubbing against the folded top while driving.

And this is why the elastic straps are soooo important. Check with Modifry, inexpensive and cure the issue.

I have been using gortex on the interior where there was a little mark from rubbing and it has held up perfectly over the past year.

I'm pretty sure my straps are worn out....who or what is "Modifry"....and do you have part#'s for me/us.....thanks

GoreTex patches are still intact and waterproof. I put them on the roof 15 months ago. Peel and stick. I think the kit is $10-$15 at outdoor stores like Dicks or Cabelas.
