Thanks for all the input!

I can get a private garage from my landlord for $60/mo. Insurance is $25 extra per month. These things add up.

I couldn't find a good deal locally, so putting the S2000 on the back-burner for now (all the while browsing craigslist and autotrader daily). These cars are certainly rare (and that's part of the appeal of course!)

Thanks again!

[QUOTE=JDMQuip,Apr 3 2009, 10:55 AM] There is a lack of space obviously so that is also a drawback.

IMO, I'd be more inclined to pay the money for that garage instead of putting it towards a hardtop if you're taking it from a security point of view. It may deter some thieves from breaking into your car for the seats but not all. My friend has to park his car on the street and his hardtop was stolen right off of the car one night.

A lot of people on this site say that getting a HT is a good deterrant but due to my friend's incident, I'm inclined to think otherwise. I remember reading at least one other member had his HT stolen off of his car. I still think a garage is a much, much better alternative. Not trying to scare you or discount what the others said, just giving you another perspective.
