Default some comments from one of the first s2k owners...

have been on and off this board since getting my s2k Sept 1999 (first day they came out - I think Sept 17?) and have vin #175 in the US with 104K miles. I STILL am absoultely passionate about this car and it is still a total blast to drive. I maintain it perfectly and take it regularly to redline. Just ordered a couple of months ago a new Z4 M coupe but the S2K stays! I will have what is one of the ultimate convertibles and a great muscle car coupe... so close but different in a way. Will never give up the s2k 9K is too addictive! What a great car! Still...

Wow, a blast from the past! It's great to hear that your car is still going strong.

Welcome to the 100k club!

I agree this car is great. Takes a licking and keeps on revving to 9k!! (I couldn't bring myself to say "ticking" - hahaha)

Post some pics of your Z4M! I heard it's supposed to be almost like the M coupe, except even better!

that's good! I'm closing in on 100K!

BTW- I remember looking at a Berlina Black in Charlotte on August 31st, 1999. It was the day I bought my 10th AE miata. I remember the dealer mark-up was 10K!

Just curious... How much did you end up paying for one of the first S2000's?

I know the markup was ridiculous!

As an owner for the last couple years, I can see why...

A guy I know in Orlando paid like $43k for the first one at our local dealership... Cash!
