Someone Help!!
Can someone please tell me on how to open that clear plastic cover on top of the digital speedometer??? There is something(maybe a bug?) that is sitting right on top of engine temp bars that is annoying the hell out of me. How can I take them apart????
If your sure you want to attemp this here you go:
1) The primary attach is two screws on the upper edge. The screws are covered with two flat edged plus. Clockwise...look at 11 and 1 o'clock.
2) Wrap a flat head screw driver with electrical tape and work from the top....out and the down.
3) There are spring clips at the 10 and 2 oclock positions. 9:30 and 2:20 also.
4) Two more right in the lower cornersvertical (start button and thermo dial.
5) Two more on the lower edge (start button and thermo control).
6) Last two on the lower edge t6o the right and left of the steering column.
Hopefully you won't have to do a complete removal....if you do there are four wiring harnesses. Three on the left of the column and 1 on the right.
Hope this helps.

How long has this bug been there?? They often get into the viewfinders of SLR cameras and drive youy crazy walking around in the viewfinder. They tend to leave of their own accord eventually. Sounds like a lot of potential for damage for the sake of waiting a while.
The other thing..... these critters often go towards the light like moths. It may be doing just that and is trapped behind the perspex. Try covering the display and putting some sort of light up behind the dash. It might help it find it's way out.
A darkened garage would be ideal. Good luck

This thing is DEAD. It has stayed at the same spot(engine temp bars) for like couple of weeks now. I dont think this bug will go anywhere unless I do something about it. Anyway, I'm gonna try to wait a little more and see what happens. I might try to shoot some air into the opening and also see what happens. If none of this helps, I'm gonna do what Utah S2k suggested.....
