Default Someone hit the Electric Poll

Well Someone hit the elctric poll in my apt, as you guessed it it fell. The electric wires went crazy and slapped my car around a lil bit not to bad but there are perm burn marks on my car. Luckily someone got the plates of the hit and run driver. My question is can I get that person to pay for my deductable 1000.00? or Am I SOL like the time my roof was slashed..

THanx

Does your car still run? You might want to check your electrical system as well.

First of all, file a police report. Then call your insurance, tell them what happened, give them the police report #, the license plate number, and the name and phone # of the person who saw it happen.

If the plate # pans out, then that person will have to pay the whole thing, detuctible and all. But it's your insurance company that will pay you, and then collect from the hit-and-run's insurance company.

Wrong!

You should have high deductibles. You'll save more in the long run. Insurance is there to protect you from financial disaster, not financial inconvenience. Besides everyone should have AT LEAST a couple of thousand cash in an account for a rainy day
