I dont know about removing the tape with that black hardtop, i think it looks silly when theres a black top with the window tape removed.

However that is a solution to your problem. Or you could take of the tape, and paint the hardtop apex blue, thatd be a first for a CR that ive seen, and may turn out pretty good!

With the black HT, I wouldn't remove the tape or only remove the tape as a last resort. See if a body shop can do something with the scratch. If they can, the price should be pretty reasonable.

Looks like someone did not give a shit while moving something near your car. If it was vandalism it would be a lot worse. Sorry man. I hope you find the ahole.

Yeah, agree with everyone else. That does NOT look intentional. I would seriously doubt that's a key, either. If someone was trying to do damage, the marks would not look like that. Way too much effort to only mar a tiny piece of windshield frame.

I'd go with road debris for the deeper one and a zipper, watch, or bookbag for the lighter one.

Also, the two scratches are on different sides of the frame. If someone was trying to key your car, they would have taken out the body panel and not gone all the way over to the other side to make a one-inch scratch.

Maybe it was Stacey, jealous that you dumped her for a younger girl....

Okay, I actually think this one makes sense.

you are lucky it was just the window tape area. does look like more than from just a rock chip. but at least you can either remove the tape and leave it off or replace it with new tape. the tape can be purchase seperately from the dealer. i would leave the tape off if the hardtop was a matching color with the rest of the car but if i had a black hard top i would want the black tape. just seems to flow better. hope you get it all taken care off. dam these haters, need to get taught a lesson
