Default Someone took a bat to my side mirror!

Apparently someone took a bat or something to my passenger side mirror. The mirror itself is cracked along with most of the casing..... the motor itself still works however as I can move the remaining piece of mirror around from the control inside the car.

Does anyone know how much one of these mirrors will cost at the dealership installed? Or is there a place to a full OEM one in any color (formula red btw.), would a bodyshop be able to isntall it for cheaper? I have enough expenses as it is so i'm trying to find the most affordable route.

Well I'm assuming it was a bat... I had the car in the driveway so it couldn't have been a hit and run, someone purposely came up to the car and did this. I've had my side marker lights jacked as well before. Still saving up for a good alarm, but in the meantime the mirror looks horrible.

You guys think the dealer will keep it under $300? If not, are these mirrors hard to replace on your own, I don't have the slightest clue how to do so.... they just snap on and connect the plug or something? Or is it really complex?

Or if I got the OEM mirror online somewhere, you think most bodyshops would be smart enough to install it properly without messing it up?

Its not too rare for people to switch out their factory mirrors.. If your lucky you might find one posting a "want to buy" thread in the for sale forum.
