Default Something climbed into a body panel and died

Well, I came back from vacation to find a horrific odor in my garage. After doing a little searching it became clear the smell is coming from the S2K. I have looked everywhere and can't find the damn thing. It is definitely around the engine bay.

Any of you know where this critter is most likely to be? I have never messed with the body, fenders, bumper so I am not sure where the hidden pockets might be.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If you see nothing under the hood you'll have to look under the car and check the wheel wells. I found a dead frog once in my engine bay.

I just realised that if you left a window down, you'll need to check under the seats, the space that the ST folds into and (God forbid) under the dash. GL

Once I was washing my Audi and I popped the hood where a horrible odor hit me... between the front grill and radiator was a dead bat. Somehow I managed to hit a bat while driving and it not tear up the grill and go splat against the radiator.

search for threads about prepping the S for storage.
it'll have info about blocking holes and places that critters/rodents like to crawl into to make homes. this should give you an idea of areas to search.

A mouse went into my air intake in my pickup, parked in the garage, and made a nest. Check it out too.

I remember I used to have cats, and they used to always sit on or around the wheel wells....so check that out close to the wheels...it's easy for animals to climb up there.

well, the wheel wells are clear and the odor is definitely not in the cabin, you can't smell it at all in there. Is there much space in the bumper when you take it off?

oh yeah don't forget about the dead body compartment! j/k

when's the last time you washed your car? I once hit a bunny (he hopped in front of me i swear i wasn't aiming for him) and my car started to smell like rot after a few days. A good wash in the wheel wells and cleaning of the tires and the stink was gone.

if something just crawled in I'd say it's probably not stuck anywhere, I don't think there's that many hiding spots in the front end of the vehicle. How good of shape is your undercarriage? My first S had a very beaten to hell front underbody and so most of the body cavities were somewhat exposed. I'd check there.
