Washed it last week and only drove it a couple miles since then.

The undercarriage is in great shape so no issue there.

I may just have to keep the car out of the garage until the thing is done rotting

We have had numerous problems in the past with rodent intrusion. Our '78 VW Rabbit Diesel spent a few months outdoors, and not in regular usage. When opening the hood one day, I found a large population of squirrel 'pellets' all over the intake manifold and the battery, and zillions of acorns between the inner sound deadening pad and the hood. Another vehicle, a Mazda, which was garaged, developed a stalling problem related to squirrels or mice having gnawed on a wiring harness.

We have been lucky escaping the presence of dead bodies, but I heard a story (possibly apocryphal) about a cat which crawled up under the hood of someone's car to seek refuge from cold weather. When the engine was started, his tail got caught between pulley and belt, leading to immediate eradication of all nine lives.

I have checked everything I can get to without taking the car apart. I tried to get it to fall out going over speed bumps and a few highway runs...no good

The only bright side is that it doesn't smell in the cabin, even with the vents open

my old roommate had rats crawl into the engine bay of his wrx after a long trip home on a cold night, and they destroyed most of the wiring harness.
