something wrong with intake box?
hello all,
a couple days ago i was doing my routine inspection of my under the hood stuff. one of the things i did was to check my air filter. when i opened the intake box i was surprised to find that there was a layer of oil lining the inside of the box. can anyone tell me if they've had the same problem with their s2000. it's bugging me since my s2000 is an 06 and is pretty new with only 6000 miles into it. i've always had cars with regular air filters and not the conical shaped ones, i was wondering if that had anything to do with oil in my intake box.
TIA

I can't picture that how it look like, but why don't you clean it then check it later to see if oil still there

i really dont see how oil would get in there
i dont see how that would happen either... thats why i was looking to see if it happened anywhere else. my plan of action is to clean out the intake box and run it for another couple thousand miles and then go check if its still oily in there.
its not dirty grease or anything, its just oil.
