Those that have been board members a longer time know that some of us have waited for a cable-based adapter for the dash audio remote controls, in my case for a Sony CD/radio. I have sent several inquiries to SoundGate over perhaps 8 months, and they have consistantly said that a S2000/Sony adapter will be produced, but also that it has been postponed several times. Today i received the following reply on my latest query:

We will have the Honda steering wheel interface by
this May. Sorry it has taken so long but some other
emergency projects got in the way.

The bad news is that it will not work with the Sony.
It will work with Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer and JVC.

So why was i waiting?

The new May deadline is probably as much worth as the rest of their promises.

Just venting...

 

Sorry to hear about that! To bad they keep jerking you around. They mean May 2002 right?! J/K.

Maybe a experienced installer might be able to help you out. Definitly will cost time and money but anything is possible.

 

Are you sure they're talking about the S2K? They mentioned "Honda steering wheel interface", but nothing about an S2000.

 

These folk sound like K&N.

Back in 99 they said Jan 2000. Then in Jan 2000 they said May. In May they said I don't know what.

By then, I had moved to another solution.

I wouln't hold my breath given the track-record.

And furthermore, I doubt the Mute button will be supported since we are the only Honda with it.
