Southern Ohio Thrill Ride! OMG!
Ohio Route 26 between Marietta and I-70 (actually just a few miles south of I-70 at Bethesda near the intersection of I-70 and Rt. 147/149) - 70 miles of rollercoaster hills and twisties in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains! Three of us ran this road last Monday. Unreal! The best road I've been on with the S2k. Very picturesque and absolutley no let up in intensity except for a few small towns. There was NO TRAFFIC and I cannot remember being held up other than once going through Woodsfield, the county seat of Monroe County. We stopped in Woodsfied for a lunch break. If you are within a 500 mile radius of Marietta, this is a must drive. Route 26 is listed in Car & Drivers top 100 driving roads in the U. S. and now I know why.

JonasM,
Did not see one cop! Obviously you have to watch your speed through small towns which rely on the county sheriff for protection. However it would be next to impossible for them to record your speed in the twisties and I really don't push it too hard in the straights - maybe 65 or so in a 55. There are deer, Amish and farm machines on the roads and you do have to watch coming over the rises too fast. But going through the twisties was just short off breaking traction many times as indicated by the tire noise. There were very few curves without good visibility. Not to brag, at all, but my friends in an MR2 and Miata were way back there somewhere. Our car is just made for this kind of thrill ride! Curve after curve, she just made me look like an expert.
