Interesting news:

Not too sure what it means. Check it out at the Toronto Auto Show and let us know The Vancouver Auto Show is not until March or April, so you should have news well before we do in BC.

BTW HondaGal will be looking into it and posting pictures on S2Ki.

One of the local boys spotted a Yellow in Woodbridge. He never got a hold of the guy. Best bet was that it was re-painted. But still, makes ya wonder.

For me, I'm waiting on that blue

My first post! I just spoke with Toronto Honda earlier today and he said that the yellow hardtop edition will indeed be available in April. I didn't know about this thread when I talked to him, he volunteered the info.

While this is great and all, I'd like to know how many of you from Canada had to order the car and then wait 3-4 months for its arrival?

Apparently, the dealers don't stock them, so my hopes of an April delivery appear to be pipe dreams.

Thanks,

Rob

Hey Rob, Welcome to the board. I waited 9 months for my car to arrive, if it make you feel better. Ordered it in September and got it in May. But believe me it's worth the wait.
I wouldn't worry about the April Delivery. Maybe mid may but thats it. They come in waves, pretty much all arive around the same time. Have you checked around at other dealers?

Hey Rob,

I ordered my car in Dec. 98 and it arrived May 00. That was a crazy wait but YES it was worth it.

I spotted the yellow in Woodbridge (suburb of Toronto) last year but, as I said, it had all sorts of racing stickers on it and someone on this board replied to say that it sounded like the a repainted one that was auctioned off in Montreal during the F1 weekend.

In any event, when I brought the stook in for service in November, I was told by Action Honda that yellow was not available in Canada for the 2001 MY. The sales rep gave me a 2001 Canadian brochure for the S2K and pointed out that yellow was not one of the colour options. However, he and the brochure could be wrong.

Hey guys,

The dealer told me that it is a special edition model. It is spa yellow and comes with a standard hardtop. He quoted me $53k for the car and $48k for a normal softtop. The normal softtop is only available in silver, black or red.

I was thinking silver with black interior.

I also confirmed with another dealer that the car was special order only. There is no waiting list to get one, so I may be able to get under MSRP. Was anyone able to do this?

Thanks,

Rob

Spa Yellow is available in the "North American" market for MY2001, and Canada is part of North America so it is available.....but it is a rare color. As for special editions, there are none. Salesman ploy...the hard top is just an option, just like the spoilers and Titanium shift knob......
