Default Spark plug cover

Hey guys, the lettering on my spark plug cover is starting to get quite dirty. I was just wondering what the best grit sandpaper is to use to get the dirt off of the lettering.

Thanks for the responses. The only reason I asked is because I used some wet/dry sandpaper I had laying around (no idea what grit, but very very fine) and it didn't take the black off of the letters. Guess I will try something a little rougher.
